Senior/ Executive, Financial Planning & Analysis

Purpose and Scope

The role will assist to oversee financial operations for the business, ensuring financial stability, compliance and growth. This include managing budgets, financial reporting, analyzing data and communicating with stakeholders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Monthly reporting - Timely and accurate reporting of monthly reporting and analysis
• Extraction of operational data from various sources/systems (i.e. Cognos, BPC, IBMS, SAP, etc) for preparation of management reporting
• To deep-dive the key operational/business drives of the products
• Understand and can analyse how each drivers impacting the bottom line (i.e. daily, monthly or annually)
• Collaborate with HODs to understand the fluctuation of monthly financial results
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly management reporting and analysis for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statement
• Preparation of flash reporting
• Preparation of SLC report for senior management
• Submission of quarterly variance explanations to Group FPA/Reporting Team
• Collaborate with FSS team and Commercial team for monthly closing of the business units
• Responsible for annual budgeting submission and rolling forecasts review
• Support year-end audit and annual impairment review
• Periodical budget monitoring and system & process evaluation
• Support ad-hoc simulation, analysis and reporting for various changes in key operating/business drivers

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Recognised accounting degree or its equivalent with at least 3 years experience in accounting, audit or financial analysis
• Exposure in the utilities business would be advantageous
• Meticulous, analytical and able to work under pressure & tight deadlines
• Patience and able to handle large volume of data with strong knowledge in MS Excel
• Possess strong sense of accountability and integrity
• Able to self motivate and encourage cohesive work team
