Job Description - Senior Executive, Research Office




Overview 


As Senior Executive, Research and Innovation Office (Research Integrity and Compliance), you will perform various tasks to ensure that the clinical research in NUHS is conducted ethically and in compliance with Clinical Trial regulations, Human Biomedical Research Act, and related guidelines/ legislations. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist investigators in preparing and submitting research proposals/applications to IRBs and regulatory authorities, including performing institutional regulatory submissions and notifications.

  • Review research proposals and supporting documents to ensure completeness and compliance with institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and applicable regulations.

  • Conduct routine compliance checks, track reporting timelines, and ensure timely submission of required reports to IRBs and regulatory bodies.

  • Provide administrative support for research governance, including data collation, report preparation, and documentation for quality assurance and management decisions.

  • Serve as liaison between investigators, institutional departments, IRBs, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth communication and resolution of administrative matters.

  • Support research education and outreach initiatives, including drafting and maintenance of materials, coordinating activities and sessions, and engagement efforts to promote good research practices and regulatory awareness among investigators and study teams.

  • Perform secretariat and general administrative duties to support IRB processes and the operational functions of the Research Office.


Job Requirements



  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related fields).

  • Prior experience in research administration, IRB processes, or regulatory compliance is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A team player.
