We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Investment Professional to support Novo Holdings’ efforts to create and develop successful biotech companies with transformational potential for patients and investors across the Asia biotech ecosystem.
Novo Holdings is a key player in the international life science investment industry. Our portfolio spans the entire range of life science development, from early-stage research to large and mature commercial players. The Biotech team is Novo Holdings’ early-stage investment and company creation group in Asia, focused on building NewCos around differentiated science and therapeutic assets from China and Singapore.

The Role
The Senior Investment Professional will be based in Singapore within the Asia Investments team and a dual reporting line to the Managing Partner of the Seed Investments team, based in Copenhagen and to the Managing Partner, Asia Investments, based in Singapore.
You will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle with a focus on deal execution, company build, and board-level engagement while building and leveraging a strong network for Novo Holdings across the local ecosystem. The role is well suited for a strong investment or transaction professional who also well-versed in the pharmaceutical science.
Key responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate new biotech investment opportunities and therapeutics assets across the life sciences ecosystem for the purpose of NewCo creation in Singapore, in close collaboration with clinicians/hospitals and biotech founders across Asia.
- Develop and articulate robust investment theses, risk assessments, return scenarios.
- Prepare high-quality materials for Investment Committee discussions and informed decision making.
- Lead negotiations on deal terms and transactions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, venture capital firms, and other stakeholders in the local biotech and early-stage investment ecosystem across Asia
- Support asset management of portfolio companies including analysis of project progress, competitive dynamics and relevant market developments.
- Actively support portfolio companies post-investment, through strategic guidance, board governance, and value creation initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively across geographies and internal teams in a global operating model.
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree in a scientific or medical discipline (e.g. life sciences, biology, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences). An advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MD, MBA) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a proven track record in investment banking, venture capital, business development, corporate strategy or consulting in biotech or healthcare.
- Deep understanding of biotech and healthcare landscape in Asia as well as in Europe and the U.S., including key players, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
- Prior experience with portfolio management and board-level engagement.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
