Job Description - Senior Lead, Business Operations

The Star Alliance office in Singapore coordinates the global activities of the Alliance, including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 Members.

Based in Singapore, the Senior Lead, Business Operations reports to the General Counsel & Vice President Business Operations.

The role is responsible for leading the end-to-end preparation and execution of strategic priorities and board engagements, ensuring high-quality materials, disciplined planning, and seamless delivery.

They will operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership, contributing to high-impact decision-making and organisational priorities.

Job Description

Strategic Content & Executive Communication

• Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, briefing packs, and strategic documents for senior leadership and board engagements

• Translate complex business and strategic topics into clear, structured, and decision-oriented

narratives

• Draft and refine executive communications, including talking points, memos, and reports

• Ensure messaging is aligned, concise, and tailored to senior stakeholders

Board & Leadership Readiness

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of board meetings and large-scale leadership events, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with strategic priorities

• Drive coordination across stakeholders to ensure readiness across content, logistics, and overall flow

• Ensure events are structured, decision-oriented, and executed to a high executive standard

Cross-functional Alignment & Influence

• Engage and influence stakeholders across functions to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment

• Act as the central point of coordination to consolidate information and maintain quality control

• Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across complex, multi-stakeholder topics

• Lead follow-ups and ensure timely execution of actions and deliverables

Execution Excellence & Delivery Ownership

• Own end-to-end delivery of strategic materials and engagements, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met

• Drive disciplined planning, coordination, and execution across multiple priorities

• Operate with speed, precision, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

• Anticipate risks and proactively address gaps to ensure seamless delivery

Quality, Standards & Continuous Improvement

• Set and uphold high standards for structure, storytelling, and visual quality of all outputs

• Ensure consistency in messaging, formatting, and presentation across materials

• Enhance templates, tools, and ways of working to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Embed best practices in executive communication and content development

Key Capabilities

• Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset

• Ability to develop high-quality materials independently, with attention to detail

• Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels

• High ownership, with a willingness to roll up sleeves to deliver end-to-end outcomes

• Builds and sustains strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling alignment and effective execution across functions

Profile & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or corporate environments

• Proven track record of developing executive-level presentations and written materials

• Experience supporting senior leadership and board-level engagements in a fast-paced, international environment

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong ownership and attention to detail
