Senior LNG Risk Analyst

We are partnering with a global trading organization to hire a Senior LNG Risk Analyst who will play a key role in monitoring trading exposures, validating risk positions, and supporting risk governance across physical and derivatives activities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a commercially focused business where you will work closely with traders, finance, operations, and senior management to provide insights that support informed decision-making and safeguard the business against market, credit, and operational risks.

Location: Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily LNG trading activities and assess market, credit, operational, and counterparty risk exposures across physical and paper portfolios

• Review profit and loss positions, exposure reports, and risk metrics to ensure accuracy and timely identification of potential risks

• Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on counterparties, customers, and new business opportunities

• Support transaction reviews and ensure compliance with internal risk policies, procedures, and control frameworks

• Investigate unusual trading activities, exposure movements, and valuation discrepancies, escalating findings where necessary

• Validate transaction records and pricing inputs within risk management systems, ensuring accurate reporting and valuation of positions

• Collaborate with trading, finance, legal, and operations teams to strengthen risk controls and enhance risk awareness across the business

• Assist with derivatives-related settlements, funding requirements, and reconciliation activities in partnership with finance teams

• Prepare regular risk reports for management, highlighting key exposures, emerging trends, and recommendations for mitigation measures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience within LNG, energy trading, or commodity trading

• Experience reviewing trading exposures, P&L reporting, valuations, and risk controls within a trading environment

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic commercial environment
