Senior / Manager (Applications & Product Management)

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our dynamic team to develop ecosystem products for the maritime sector. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technology and business needs, ensuring that our digital solutions are aligned with stakeholder requirements and contribute to enhancing Singapore’s position as a leading global maritime hub. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights and agile methodologies to develop digital products that will be relevant for a range of stakeholders in our maritime ecosystem, which would include our port operators, international shipping lines, technology companies, among others.

The maritime sector in Singapore faces significant challenges, as well as opportunities. It is critical for MPA to position Singapore to capture benefits from growing maritime trade, while addressing various challenges including our manpower constraints and global pressures for maritime decarbonisation. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance Singapore’s global positioning as a leading maritime hub by identifying and advancing new value proposition for our maritime ecosystem through strategising and managing digital products.

What to Expect:

• Define the vision and strategy for a portfolio of products and services
• Manage the product lifecycle, from conceptualisation to delivery
• Manage and review demand priorities, areas of improvement, plan and coordinate development progress to ensure a good product launch and continuous evolution
• To launch new products and features, test their performance, collect data and user feedback, and iterate constantly and quickly
• Effectively influence and communicate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development and growth, and build strong relationships at the executive level
• Work with the Product Owner, Technical Lead, Business Analysts, User Experience Designers, Engineers in planning the activities required and timeline for each release. 

What we are looking for:

• Experience in leading full software / product development life cycles using Agile Methodology.
• 3+ years of relevant experiences as a Product Manager
• Proven experience in application solution and design. 
• Strong understanding of agile software development processes.Experience in outsourcing and vendor management
• Proficient in data analysis and comfortable using analytics tools to drive product decisions. Demonstrated ability in adapting to new technologies and environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solutions innovation, and willingness to learn quickly and take on challenges with a desire to make a big impact
• An understanding of how the Singapore Government operates as well as experience in the maritime sector is a plus.
