Senior / Manager, Business Planning

This role is responsible for leading the business planning team in the imaging products business. As a manager in the greater Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters function, you will be responsible for analysing and reporting the P&L situation and business forecast to the Japan Headquarters.

What you will be doing

• Support key business decisions by providing relevant and value-added strategic and tactical analysis. Ensure that insights are acted upon by marketing, segment and product areas to maximise sales potential and sell through; through strong business acumen and building a good network with key stakeholders in the region.
• Monitor and analyse the P&L of the imaging business in each sales company, proactively identifying business management issues and proposing tangible solutions to decision makers.
• Frequent communication with business control department at HQ, factories and regional sales companies, directing order placement and inventory control to maximise profits.
• Lead the annual budget planning for all imaging product categories and direct all sales companies in the region to ensure timely validation and reporting through proper control and compliance management.
• Ensure that business operations are appropriately adapted to the business environment, liaising with relevant corporate divisions to develop and propose to decision makers the best solutions under the given conditions.
• Act as a role model by consistently demonstrating leadership behaviours that promote transparency, productive working relationships and a strong performance culture.

What you should have

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a multinational corporation environment.
• 8 years of working experience handling consumer electronic products with more than $300 million net sales.
• 5 years of experience in business planning and control.
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects with several team members.
• Business proficiency in both English and Japanese to handle business documents written in English and Japanese, as well as facilitating in-depth communication with HQ stakeholders and regional sales companies.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with interacting with people of diverse cultural backgrounds to lead the region to achieve business goals.
• Strong analytical, organisation, project & team management skills.
• Effective influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to write professionally.
• Overseas travelling may be frequently required.
