We are looking for a versatile Senior Manager, Human Resources to join our multidisciplinary team at Edmund Tie & Company (SEA) Pte Ltd in Downtown Tanjong Pagar, Central Region.

ETC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Human Resources team.   As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing HR strategies that support our organizational objectives and drive employee engagement and development.

Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the business plan and collaborate with senior leadership to meet organizational needs and objectives.

Talent acquisition

  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy using various sourcing channels such as job portals and social media, in collaboration with Department Heads to define roles, selection criteria, and compensation.
  • Source and screen candidates through career fairs and networking, maintain a candidate database, and design a detailed interview process tailored to specific job requirements.
  • Implement internship and management associate programs, engage in campus recruitment and roadshows to improve employer branding, and participate in the onboarding and induction of new hires.

Talent management & development

  • Collaborate with Department Heads to assess training needs and design career development pathways for employees.
  • Manage training logistics, including the application for training grants and identification of additional funding sources.
  • Implement a range of training and development initiatives, such as mentorship, internal mobility, and upskilling programs, to enhance job satisfaction and retain talent.

Performance Management

  • Design and manage performance review systems to accurately assess employee contributions and support managers with performance management and disciplinary actions to promote organizational growth.

Compensation & benefits

  • Regularly review and adjust compensation and benefits to align with market trends and ensure competitiveness and fairness.
  • Administer incentive, reward, and recognition policies to motivate and retain staff.
  • Coordinate year-end processes including performance evaluations, KPI settings, salary adjustments, and bonus allocations.
  • Oversee monthly payroll operations through an outsourcing vendor and assist with the budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of manpower resources.

Employee Relationships & Engagement

  • Update and communicate HR policies and procedures effectively, addressing employee grievances and disciplinary cases in collaboration with Department Heads.
  • Propose and help organize staff engagement and bonding activities to enhance team cohesion.
  • Manage HR administration tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), and other legal requirements to prevent potential issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • At least 8 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong administrative, reporting, and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of MOM regulations and familiarity with fair and progressive HR best practices
  • A people person with a collaborative mindset and excellent verbal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate where appropriate and necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR data and analytics
  • Exhibit a strong sense of integrity and maintain confidentiality especially when dealing with sensitive information.
