Job Description - Senior Manager (Projects), SW CDC

[What the role is]

Deepen community engagement through CDC programmes and volunteers by Aggregating Resources, Building Capabilities and Connecting Partners in the South West District.

[What you will be working on]

Projects Management and Development

  • Assist Assistant Director /Deputy General Manager / General Manager in the planning, development, execution and management of CDC programmes and initiatives.
  • Network, coordinate and develop joint CDC programmes or partnerships with Community and Corporate Partners, schools as well as other Government agencies, in achieving set targets and objectives of the Government/PA/CDC.
  • Conceptualise, develop and administer CDC programmes and budgets in accordance with plans, targets and objectives of the CDC and its Functional Committees.
  • Monitor day-to-day operation and performance of CDC programmes and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance to Corporate Governances in line with the Government/ PA/CDC policy and guidelines.

Council and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate recruitment, appointment and re-appointment, as well as engagement of CDC Members, to ensure a high-level of involvement and active participation.
  • Provide guidance to the staff on secretariat support to CDC members, including Functional Committee meetings and networking with partners.  
  • Represent CDC at national/district/divisional and Functional Committee Meetings, to network and strengthen partnerships.  
  • Represent CDC as Community Relationship Manager (CRM) to strengthen and forge relationships with the divisions. 

Leadership and Coaching

  • Develop, supervise and guide the staff in the conceptualization, development and execution of CDC programmes.
  • Coach, oversee and ensure timely submission of papers and reports by the staff, i.e. Concept and budget papers, progress update reports, CDC programme post-mortem reports, Notes of Meetings, BSC reports, etc. 
  • Provide real-time feedback and advice to management and staff on staffing and operations matters.

[What we are looking for]

  • Assist and participate in cross PA divisions and CDC programmes and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Assistant Director / Deputy General Manager / General Manager.

Knowledge & Skills

At least 3 – 5 years of working experience.

Relevant working experience and/or have significant contribution(s) in other extra-curricular portfolio of similar nature.
