Senior Manager/Deputy GM - Corporate Communications [Container Shipping]

Responsibilities :
Summary: This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to enhance the company's image, support business goals, and manage public relations. The successful candidate is a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the container shipping industry, strong communication skills, and excellent leadership abilities.

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans so as to enhance the company's profile and support business goals
• Manage media relations including approving press releases and handling media inquiries
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives, including Web revamp.
• Develop and refine crisis communication protocols to improve effectiveness Monitor social media for crisis triggers and misinformation, and make proper responses.
• Brand Management including Trademarks and enhancing internal communications through employees's engagement activities and other initiatives.
• Oversees and management the corporate communication budget and expenses
• Support any ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree preferably in business, marketing, communications, supply chain management
• More than 10 years of experience in the shipping industry and preferably with Media/ Corporate Communication related experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Suite
• Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills in leading a team of at least 3 people
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
