Senior Manager/Fund Controller (Fund - SEA)

The Senior Manager/Fund Controller for the Fund – SEA will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the Southeast Asian funds under our management. This position involves leading the accounting and reporting functions to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial information to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial reporting framework for the SEA funds, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial statements.
• Oversee the work of third-party fund administrators and collaborate effectively to maintain high-quality accounts and reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead the audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audits.
• Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Provide insights and analysis related to fund performance and financial forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the investment team with financial modeling and due diligence during acquisition and disposal processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to monitor all income and expenditure related to the funds, ensuring proper reconciliation and reporting.
• Conduct training and mentorship for junior team members to enhance their professional development.

• Qualified accountant (such as CA, CPA) with significant experience in fund management or real estate.
• Strong academic background, including a degree in finance, accounting, or related fields.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a preference for backgrounds in fund accounting in the Southeast Asian market.
• Familiarity with IFRS and local accounting standards in the SEA region.
• Proficient in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in managing teams and external relationships
• Experience with accounting software and fund management systems, particularly Yardi, is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
