About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Managing Director to lead Redesign Health’s Southeast Asia (SEA) platform. This is the founding leadership role responsible for expanding our presence in SEA and establishing Redesign Health as the healthcare venture partner of choice in the region.

This role requires an exceptional investing track record, a platform builder, and AI-innate operator. You will define and execute our investment strategy, build and direct the investing team, and partner with exceptional founders to create and scale healthcare companies.

What You'll Do:

Capital Development

• Lead fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with regional and global investors

• Position Redesign as a leading healthcare venture platform in Southeast Asia

Investment & Company Creation

• Define and evolve Redesign’s healthcare investment thesis for Southeast Asia

• Serve on the Investment Committee, exercising strong judgment on founders, markets, and business models

• Source, evaluate, and back exceptional founders, ensuring Redesign is the partner of choice

• Partner with founders to build venture-scale healthcare companies from ideation through launch

• Maintain a disciplined, high-velocity investment pipeline with rigorous prioritization and decision-making

• Participate in governance activities, including board roles where appropriate

Platform & Operational Leadership

• Own the P&L for the Singapore-based entity

• Lead the build-out of the Southeast Asia platform, including operations, processes, and organizational culture, and provide operational oversight

• Build and lead a high-performing regional team across investing, partnerships/growth, and platform functions

• Develop deep relationships across founders, investors, healthcare operators, and ecosystem stakeholders

• Proven venture investor with strong judgment and a track record of backing exceptional founders, and a Founder magnet who can attract, assess, and close top-tier founders

• AI-innate operator with a strong POV of how AI is reshaping healthcare

• Strong network across founders, investors, and healthcare ecosystems

• Strategic and commercial thinker with strong execution ability and deep understanding of SEA markets

• Decisive, high-ownership, and comfortable operating in ambiguity

• Technology Innovator: You have a track record of proactively leveraging AI and other emerging technology tools to create extraordinary productivity and impact within your role. You have built systems and workflows for yourself more sophisticated than basic ChatGPT/LLM usage and are constantly experimenting with new ways to use technology to disrupt yourself.

What You'll Need:

• 15+ years of experience in venture capital or healthcare investing, including 5+ years managing teams

• Direct experience evaluating founders, making investment decisions, and supporting portfolio companies

• Healthcare domain expertise across care delivery, health tech, and services

• Experience building businesses, platforms, or investment operations in SEA

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
