Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation/Test fixtures) - Hiring Immediately

Responsibilities:

- Conduct feasibility studies, develop design specifications, and support design proposals.
- Design standard and customized automation equipment, including material handling, process automation, fixturing, and tooling.
- Create detailed CAD designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
- Generate and release comprehensive design documentation.
- Perform tolerance stack-up and analyze critical design parameters.
- Source, evaluate, and procure mechanical and process components.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and develop assembly processes and qualification procedures.
- Assemble, test, and qualify prototypes, including troubleshooting.
- Work with other teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and design requirements are met.
- Participate in in-house product research and development.
- Conduct peer reviews and implement documentation control and database systems.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in designing industrial automation equipment, product assembly, and test fixtures.
- Independent in project execution, decision-making, and multitasking.
- Knowledgeable in sizing pneumatic and motion components like servo motors and mechanical drives.
- Experience with DFM and DFA.
- Proficient in GD&T and 3D CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience in motion systems, opto-mechanical systems, thermal and vibration control, and laser structure design is a plus.
- Committed, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Willing to travel to the Asia region on short notice.
