 Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

What will you do? 
Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
  

1. Operate, maintain, and manage the Cloud infrastructure
2. Support the management of Event, Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and other ITSM activities 
3. Troubleshoot and resolve incident escalated by internal team of Technical support engineers fronting the customers 
4. Escalate incident to external parties, work with external parties, and track status till resolved 
5. Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to resolve problems 
6. Implement Change requests and ensure CMDB is updated 
7. Review, evaluate software patches, bug-fix updates and security patches
8. Support Quality Assurance Testing 
9. Support Business Continuity Plan 
10. Create, update and maintain scripts needed to support the management of Infrastructure 
11. Develop, review and update (at least half-yearly) the SOPs to operate and maintain the infrastructure 
12. Maintain up-to-date documentation, configuration information and status of all the infrastructure 

The ideal candidate should be / possess: 
  

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in computer science related field. 
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experiences in managing and operating cloud infrastructure
• Certified in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 
• Possess good communications skills to service and resolve customer incidents and issues. 
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 
• Proven track records in work performance. 
• Sound knowledge in practising ITIL methodologies.
• Sound product knowledge and troubleshooting skills in 2 or 3 cores skills below will be an added advantage

  • VMware NSX
  • TippingPoint or IPS 
  • Forward Proxy 
  • Allot Packet Shaper 
• Ability to be flexible enough to work for extended hours and on weekends as needed to handle high priority issues, production recoveries, provide support to infrastructure releases. 
• Need to be on 24 x 7 on phone call standby.
• Possesses excellent communication skills and demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals. 
• Good Team Player, quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision 
• Managing Government agency customers which have very high expectation on the service availability and response time.
