Job Description
About the Department
Market Risk and Product Control is the function in Group Risk Management supporting the bank’s Treasury business responsible for P&L Reporting, analysis and reconciliations, Market data and valuation controls, Book controls, Structured Products governance and Market Risk computation, monitoring and controls. The Product & Financial Control Team is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of reporting and monitoring of business activities of Global Markets. The key responsibilities include Profit & Loss reporting/analysis, Stop Loss monitoring, Valuation Reserves, Profit & Loss reconciliation.
• Responsible for daily product control processes which covers daily profit and loss reporting, analysis of profit and loss movements with commentaries. Asset classes coverage includes equity, commodity, credit and fixed income, interest rates and FX. • Responsible for daily Group MIS consolidation reporting processes. • Responsible for monthly profit and loss reconciliation to ensure reconciliation breaks between economic profit and loss and general ledger are explained. • Review of processes across different locations to ensure product control processes standardization. • Participation in strategic projects to consolidate and enhance automation of the profit and loss processes and support new business initiatives.
• 0-2 years of experience in the finance industry, those with prior experience in risk management, middle office, product control or audit will have an advantage • Minimum Degree in Banking & Finance / Business or its equivalent professional certificates. • Highly numerate and strong analytical skills. • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritize conflicting demands. To cover various time zones, staggered working hours may be necessary. • Good team player who possess drive, initiative, have an eye for details and able to work independently under pressure to produce accurate and timely work.
