Senior Operation Specialist

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Senior Operation Specialist (Infrastructure):

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations and maintenance for systems, including servers, networks, and applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to junior team members, assisting in the development and implementation of IT operational policies, procedures, and standards aligned with best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties on IT projects, contributing to requirements gathering, planning, and executing system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Manage relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and service-level agreements to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate with business and finance teams on budgeting and procurement matters.
• Act as a primary point of contact for escalated IT issues and incidents, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Analyze IT operations metrics and KPIs, preparing reports for management to monitor performance and identify improvement areas.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for IT operations, sharing best practices and fostering team development.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and self-motivation.
• Monitor system performance and security, proactively addressing issues to reduce downtime and prevent data breaches.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT infrastructure, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
• Report daily to the team leader on operational matters.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations support within the ICT sector.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills across common hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, office applications, and PDF tools.
• Experience with incident management and system administration.
• Familiarity with operating systems and intermediate knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking technologies, ITILv4, AWS, Azure, Cisco, HP, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and SolarWinds is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, reliability, and attention to producing high-quality work.
• A supportive, user-oriented mindset.
• Experience supporting technologies driving daily infrastructure operations.
• Collaborative with project and operations team members, bringing a positive attitude, technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage and effectively collaborate with outsourcing vendors.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 6,000 + AWS + VB (2 Months)
• Working Location: Tanjong Pagar
