Senior/ Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, contract administration, and quantity surveying activities across construction projects. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and tendering to cost control, progress claims, and final account settlement, while working closely with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying, cost planning, and contract administration activities for assigned projects.

• Prepare feasibility studies, preliminary cost estimates, and detailed cost plans.

• Perform value engineering, cost analysis, and ongoing cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist in procurement planning and support the tendering process, including the preparation of tender and contract documentation.

• Evaluate tender submissions, conduct cost comparisons, and prepare tender evaluation reports.

• Measure quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and quantify completed works.

• Assess progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts in accordance with contractual requirements.

• Attend project meetings, site meetings, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Support project cost reporting and maintain accurate project documentation.

Requirements

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within a quantity surveying consultancy environment.

• Proficient in quantity surveying software and relevant computer applications.

• Good understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying practices.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

• A proactive team player with strong integrity and attention to detail.

• Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, and project stakeholders where required.
