Senior Research Engineer, Intelligent Product Verification, ARTC

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for image data acquisition, AI-driven inspection analysis, system performance evaluation, and continuous improvement of inspection accuracy and reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of machine vision, artificial intelligence, and industrial quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform image acquisition, processing, and quality analysis using industrial cameras and optical setups
• Apply AI-based techniques (e.g., segmentation and classification) to analyze inspection data
• Evaluate and benchmark AI model performance using statistical methods and performance metrics
• Develop and maintain clear documentation for system design, model performance, and inspection results
• Optimize inspection performance by improving data quality, model accuracy, and decision thresholds
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and scalability

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields)
• Knowledge of machine vision systems, including camera configuration, lighting, and optics
• Familiarity with deep learning and computer vision techniques for inspection (e.g., CNNs, segmentation models)

• Experience in industrial quality control (QC/QA) is an advantage
• Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis for model performance evaluation and benchmarking
• Programming experience in: Python (preferred for AI/data processing) and C/C++/C# (for system integration and development)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks
• Good communication and documentation abilities, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
