Senior Risk and Compliance Advisory Manager

Role Overview:
This position is integral to the second line of defence, acting as a risk partner to the Front Office and senior management. The successful candidate will oversee operational risk activities, challenge risk-related decisions, and support strategic initiatives with comprehensive risk insights, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong operational risk background in a financial services environment
• Experience in Energy & Commodities and/or Capital Markets (preferred)
• Familiarity with second line of defence roles (advantageous but not essential)
• Solid understanding of regulatory expectations and operational risk frameworks
• Excellent business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge constructively
• Proactive, pragmatic, and solution‑focused mindset
• Strong communication skills, effective with Front Office and senior stakeholders
• Commercial judgment balancing risk discipline with business outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a second line of defence risk partner to the Front Office and senior management
• Identify, assess, and challenge material operational risks across BAU activity, change, and strategic initiatives
• Lead and support core operational risk activities such as RCSA, scenario analysis, root cause analysis, and issue remediation
• Advise on risk appetite, KRIs, and risk acceptances
• Provide oversight and constructive challenge of controls, policies, and remediation plans
• Support new business, change initiatives, and strategic projects from a risk perspective
• Deliver clear risk MI, analysis, and insights to risk committees and leadership forums
• Oversee incident management, policy breaches, and business continuity planning
• Promote a strong risk culture through engagement and training
Requirements:
• Right to work in the region
