Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Production Support Engineer - Hedge Fund

Bonhill Partners are representing a leading global hedge fund to hire a senior Site Reliability Engineer / Production Support Engineer as part of the post-trade business line.

This position will be responsible for driving the the transformation of their quant trading environments to a fully automated, systematic trading system that trades multiple assets.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and optimize real-time, low-latency trading platforms with a focus on throughput, scalability, and resilience
• Ensure production systems meet stringent reliability, availability, and performance requirements
• Automate operational workflows
• Design and implement novel approaches for complex systems challenges
• Incident response
• Promote the SRE mindset

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
• Strong grounding in computer science fundamentals: algorithms, concurrency, data structures, operating systems, and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python
• C++/Java highly valued for low-latency systems
• Experience building and supporting high-performance, mission-critical applications
• Strong SQL; exposure to real-time messaging, streaming platforms, or event-driven architectures a strong plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and production engineering best practices
• Clear communicator with the ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Passion for deep technical problem-solving and building resilient systems at scale
