Job Summary

Develop and optimize analytical methods for pharmaceutical materials and products, conduct validation studies, perform sample analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods to characterize pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Conduct method validation studies following regulatory guidelines and internal procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform routine and non-routine sample analyses using various analytical techniques to generate reliable data.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including method development reports, validation protocols, SOPs, and regulatory submission documents.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to analytical methods and instrumentation to maintain method robustness.
• Analyze and interpret analytical data accurately, preparing detailed reports and presentations of findings.
• Collaborate effectively with Formulation Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support product development and commercialization.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation in good working order, following safety protocols and ensuring a clean, organized environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and technological innovations to continuously improve analytical methods and laboratory practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Master’s, Ph.D., or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
• For Associate Scientist: 2+ years of experience in analytical method development in the pharmaceutical industry or related field; fresh graduates will be considered.
• For Scientist: 2 to 5 years of experience in analytical method development in the pharmaceutical industry or related field.
• Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in method development and validation according to ICH guidelines.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality systems.
• Experience with advanced analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of statistical tools and software for data analysis.
