Senior Structural Design Engineer - Start Now

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution;
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Have good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building projects (underground/basement/elevated structures)
• Good project management skills and strong analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure with good time management skill
• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills in geotechnical and structural analysis and design work would be an advantage;
• A good knowledge of the application of design and drafting software such as Autocad, Staad Pro, Plaxis, Prota, and Tedds would be an advantage;
• Candidates without working experience are welcome to apply.
• For more senior positions, at least 5 years of design experience for senior engineers.

The Structural Design Engineer is in charge of the following jobs under the supervision of a professional engineer:

1) he/she provides the preliminary plans for structural works required by the clients who are property owners or tenants, and then works out the plans for structural works, and the structural design calculations for submission to the government authorities for approval;

2) he/she provides the structural plans and design calculations for the temporary or specialist works required by the clients who are construction contractors;

3) he/she provides the structural inspection and submits a structural inspection report to Building and Construction Authority for approval.
