Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, Cell Culture/Cell Gene Therapy to support the BioProduction Cell Culture and Cell Gene Therapy business within Thermo Fisher Scientific for the Southeast Asia region.

What Will You Do?

• Take lead in technical product specification, application and protocol optimization discussions with clients and prospects for our Cell Culture and Cell Gene product portfolio in the Bioproduction Group (BPG) offering

• Assist commercial team in identifying customer opportunities, needs, determining technical feasibility of Cell Culture requests and opportunities

• Serve as the primary field-based technical interface to potential and existing customers.

• Support for on-site product evaluations and process development, optimization and troubleshooting, provide guidance for scaling of cell culture and cell gene therapy processes

• Work with other business units and divisions to identify bioprocessing solutions designed for end-to-end productivity

• Provide guidance on regulatory strategy during evaluation, qualification, and validation of bioproduction solutions

• Design training programs for Commercial teams, Thermo Fisher partners and external customers to increase customer awareness of the product line & services

• Network in conferences and seminars for prospecting, building and maintaining strong customers and partners relationships   

• Harmonize with global Go-To-Market vision by ensuring regional alignment with Cell Culture business unit

• Represent customer interests on product development teams, working with business and marketing colleagues to scope market segments, aid collection and analysis of voice of customer data and aid development of product positioning statements

• Work with Commercial teams to build and maintain healthy new business funnel by pre-sales activities to fulfil our annual metrics targets

How Will You Get Here?

• B.S. or higher degree in biochemistry, bioprocess, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biology or chemistry

• 8 years or above of hands-on work in a Cell Culture process development and cGMP large-scale environment

• Experience in Cell and Gene Therapy is required

• Understanding of cGMP regulatory environment

• Familiarity with core and emerging modalities ranges across South East Asia

• Self-motivated, proactive work ethics. Able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision of the manager

• Travel will be required
