Senior Trader

Job Descriptions:

1. Portfolio Management & Long-Term Trading

• Long-Term Portfolio Structuring: Establish and manage the long-term LNG trading portfolio and commercial structures for contracts with a duration of 3+ years.
• Out-Out Trading Expansion: Execute LNG trading activities with a primary focus on expanding global "Out-Out" trading (buying and selling outside of Thailand) to maximize profit for the PTT Group.

2. Contract Negotiation & Commercial Structuring

• Core Agreement Management: Negotiate, draft, amend, and finalize Medium-to-Long-Term LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
• Value-Chain Infrastructure Agreements: Analyze and negotiate key third-party infrastructure contracts—including Regasification Terminal Usage, Liquefaction Tolling, and Storage Fee Agreements—to optimize costs and enhance portfolio competitiveness.

3. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

• Market& Project Asset Development: Identify and pursue new LNG production project investments, asset-holding opportunities, and uncharted markets to diversify the corporate portfolio.
• Strategic Collaboration: Cultivate partnerships with global strategic allies to capture synergy and business opportunities across the natural gas and LNG value chain.
• Shipping & Logistics Coordination: Partner with internal shipping departments to secure LNG vessels under Time Charter (TC) arrangements to support business growth.

4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Control

• Trading Deal Approval: Monitor, verify, and seek management approval for Trading Tickets in strict accordance with the company’s Delegation of Authority (DOA).
• Data Integrity & System Management: Supervise and audit transaction inputs into the CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) system to ensure transparent tracking, precise risk management, and accurate portfolio valuations.
• Synergize international trading business with mother company to maximize profit to PTT Group.
• To comply with PTT internal policy and regulation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Sciences, Economics, Marketing or Business Management.
• Master’s degree in engineering, Sciences, Economics, Marketing or Business Management.
• Over 3 years of experience in oil and gas industry.
• At least 2 years overseas/international business management experience; can effectively leverage internal networks and has good, detailed knowledge of PTT Group business.
• Proficiency in Thai language as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.
• Special knowledge: PTTPLC policy / TBU policy / TBU operation
• Acute business sense and solid experience in overseas/international business management.
• Good in negotiation and coordination with counterparties and related parties.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills.
