Senior Trader/Charterer - Dry Bulk commodities

🚢 Are you a commodity Trader/Charterer with a strong Operations background — preferably from a Bulk Carrier environment?

We’re partnering with a shipowner looking for a Head of Commercial Shipping to lead their commercial physical and freight trading portfolio for their in house cargoes and an own fleet of dry bulk vessels.

This role is for someone who:

• Is hands-on in dry bulk chartering (spot / TC / COA)

• Owns P&L responsibility and freight exposure

• Understands post-fixture execution, cost control, and voyage economics

• Leads teams and builds strong relationships with charterers, owners, and brokers

• Thrives in a fast-moving, commercially driven shipping environment

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required, as the role involves regular liaison with China-based counterparties.
