Senior Trust Manager

What you'll do:

As a Senior Trust Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive administration of complex trust portfolios.

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring all activities comply with trust documents, legal requirements, and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for trust clients by providing transparent communication, addressing inquiries promptly, and fostering strong relationships built on trust and reliability.
• Supervise the daily administration of assigned trust accounts, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and timely execution of all administrative tasks.
• Conduct regular reviews of trust portfolios to ensure proper administration practices are followed and proactively identify any potential risks or areas for improvement.
• Draft and review trustee minutes, resolutions, and other trust-related documents with meticulous attention to detail to uphold compliance standards.
• Collaborate closely with professional advisors, investment managers, and banking partners to manage the assets held within trusts and foundations effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior trust administrators by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their professional development within the team.
• Assist the Head of Department in implementing best practices across the department while contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Manage debtor accounts efficiently while maintaining up-to-date client data systems to ensure seamless operations across all touchpoints.

What you bring:

The ideal Senior Trust Manager brings a wealth of practical experience gained through years spent managing complex trust structures within regulated environments.

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting or another relevant field provides a solid academic foundation for this role.
• 8 years of experience in trust administration with proven supervisory or people management responsibilities demonstrates your depth of knowledge.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws governing trusts-including estate planning regulations, taxation matters, and fiduciary obligations-is essential for success.
• Exceptional analytical abilities enable you to assess complex situations accurately while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to convey information clearly when interacting with clients or preparing documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills foster positive relationships both internally within teams and externally with clients or professional partners.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while upholding high ethical standards ensures client data protection at all times.
• STEP qualification is considered an advantage as it reflects advanced expertise within the field of trusts.
