ID:\n\nJR99392 Senior/Engineer, Metrology Process Development\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\n * Lead R\u0026D, operation, and sustainment of advanced CDSEM metrology, with additional focus on AFM, overlay/registration, X\u2011ray metrology, and optical techniques.\n\n * Develop, qualify, and standardize CD metrology methods to achieve best\u2011in\u2011class accuracy, precision, and repeatability for advanced nodes.\n\n * Drive inline detection strategies in close collaboration with process and integration teams to enable rapid learning cycles.\n\n * Perform detailed CD, profile, and roughness analysis to diagnose process issues and ensure robust pattern fidelity.\n\n * Partner with design, process, and integration teams to define metrology requirements and monitoring schemes that support advanced patterning and scaling.\n\n * Generate high\u2011impact metrology reports with clear data interpretation, root\u2011cause analysis, and actionable recommendations.\n\n * Establish and advance state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art CD metrology capabilities, including tool benchmarking, method innovation, and workflow optimization.\n\n * Mentor and coach engineers, building deep technical capability and a culture of metrology excellence and continuous improvement.\n\n * Influence supplier tool and technology roadmaps to unlock next\u2011generation CD and patterning capabilities aligned with Micron\u2019s scaling strategy.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements : \n\n * 2 years in industry metrology experience working with CDSEM (preferred), optical thin Films, overlay/registration, X-Ray, or AFM/wafer shape.\n\n\n\n * Process and equipment-related experience in instrumentation and calibration procedures.\n\n\n\n * Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes (diffusion, CVD, Etch, Lithography) and device process flows \n\n\n\n * Excellent digital literacy including data science, AI and JMP \n\n\n\n * Education: MS/Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related field plus 2+ years of industry experience (preferred), or BS + 5 years of proven ability in the semiconductor field.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\n * Strong data analysis skills and a high level of attention to detail \n\n * The ability to work as an individual contributor on projects or in collaboration with a team \n\n * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 3\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
