(Senior) Research Assistant on Human–AI Collaboration at Work

About Us:
The Future of Innovation Lab at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC), Singapore University of Technology and Design, explores how emerging technologies such as (generative) AI are transforming the nature of work, expertise, and collaboration.

We are hiring a Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant to support a research project focused on Human-AI collaboration at work. This is an ideal role for someone with strong qualitative research skills and an interest in organisational change and innovation.

About the Position:
As Research Assistant, you will be part of an interdisciplinary, dynamic team conducting empirical research with professionals across various industries. You will:

• Support or lead data collection activities (interviews, focus groups, observations, surveys)
• Assist in designing instruments and protocols
• Help liaise with company stakeholders to coordinate research engagements
• Contribute to literature reviews, data analysis, and writing reports and papers
• Engage in project logistics, documentation, and communication

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., organisational studies, sociology, labour studies, business)
• Demonstrated experience conducting and analysing qualitative research
• Interest in generative AI and its workplace applications
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Good coordination and time management abilities

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with organisational fieldwork or workplace ethnography
• Experience with survey tools or mixed methods research
• Comfort engaging with company representatives and managing research logistics
