Job Description: Part-Time Kitchen Assistant (Central Region, Singapore)

Position: Part-Time Kitchen Assistant
Location: Central Region, Singapore
Hourly Rate: $12 - $15 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff in cooking and preparing meals.
• Ensure food items are stored properly and follow hygiene standards.
• Handle food safely and ensure that all kitchen equipment is used and cleaned according to safety standards.
• Assist in stock replenishment, including organizing food items in the storage area.
• Help with basic cooking tasks, such as making salads, sandwiches, or simple dishes.
• Ensure that kitchen areas are tidy and free of hazards, including floors and surfaces.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist in maintaining inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
• Perform any other kitchen duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen supervisor.

Requirements:

• No prior experience required, though previous kitchen or food handling experience is a plus.
• A strong willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good hygiene practices and knowledge of basic food safety.
• Physically fit to handle kitchen tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, reliable, and punctual.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
