Service Planner (Crane Industry) - Dynamic Team

As a Service Planner in the crane industry, you will oversee all aspects of planned service activities, generate service requests, review job costs, manage field hours, and finalize service jobs for invoicing. Precision is crucial in this role, as you will supervise technicians and ensure the smooth delivery of services. Reporting to the Admin & Planning Manager, you will handle planned repairs, retrofits, modernizations, and on-call activities, manage necessary purchases, arrange sub-contracted services and equipment, and verify purchase requests. You will also be responsible for creating service requests and work packages, scheduling field operatives, and reviewing completed job costs before invoicing. Additionally, you will respond to customer needs, manage warranty information, and handle miscellaneous tasks such as shipping, receiving, and maintaining shop cleanliness. Main Responsibilities:

• Handle planned repairs, retrofits, modernizations, and on-call activities.
• Manage purchases needed for job execution and verify error-free purchase requests.
• Arrange sub-contracted services and equipment, including rentals.
• Oversee goods receiving for purchase requests.
• Create and assign service requests (SR) and work packages (WP) to field operatives.
• Schedule and dispatch field operatives.
• Manage and schedule all open jobs daily.
• Review job costs, including work hours, expenses, and materials, before invoicing daily.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer needs and requests, escalating or delegating as necessary.
• Collect and monitor warranty information, and report potential warranty or credit requests to Managers before authorizing work.
• Manage miscellaneous activities such as shipping/receiving, shop cleanliness, walk-ins for parts, equipment/building maintenance, and answering phones.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior management and technical (electrical/mechanical) experience.
• Customer-oriented with strong PC skills.
• Willingness to take on new and challenging tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime or additional hours as needed.
