As a Service Planner in the crane industry, you will oversee all aspects of planned service activities, generate service requests, review job costs, manage field hours, and finalize service jobs for invoicing. Precision is crucial in this role, as you will supervise technicians and ensure the smooth delivery of services. Reporting to the Admin & Planning Manager, you will handle planned repairs, retrofits, modernizations, and on-call activities, manage necessary purchases, arrange sub-contracted services and equipment, and verify purchase requests. You will also be responsible for creating service requests and work packages, scheduling field operatives, and reviewing completed job costs before invoicing. Additionally, you will respond to customer needs, manage warranty information, and handle miscellaneous tasks such as shipping, receiving, and maintaining shop cleanliness.
