Site Reliability Engineer Tier 1 Buyside Firm Quantitative Trading Firm & Market Maker - Singapore

My client is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation; with technology at the core of everything they do. They’re hiring multiple Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) in Singapore. Responsibilities

1. Build and improve platforms that power trading teams and support research infrastructure
2. Drive the scalability of production systems as trading volumes and complexity grow
3. Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient systems
4. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation
5. Partner with development teams to improve system reliability and performance at the code and architecture level
6. Develop and implement automation tools to streamline operations and reduce toil
7. Ensure security and compliance standards are met across production environments
8. Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams

Requirements

1. 5+ years of professional experience with Python on large distributed systems, with proven SRE or similar production engineering experience
2. Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
3. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
4. Solid production experience on Linux platforms
5. Proven success working with large data sets
6. Mindset – Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, self-direction, and a commercially oriented focus on business outcomes
7. Education – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8. Work style – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
9. Finance – Industry experience is preferred but not required
