Site Reliability Engineering (Voice department)

Platform & UX organization is seeking a Cloud DevOps Developer to join its Operations team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Ansible and Python and capable of working on scalable and highly resilient distributed cloud architectures. You will work closely with the Operations team to automate application deployment, configuration, and management. In addition to automation tasks, developers will also be responsible for testing and documentation.

What is my role? What are my responsibilities?

- Automate the deployment of a Rainbow cloud architecture using Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash

- Create manual and automated tests: static coverage, non-regression tests, chaos tests...

- Perform benchmarks to build deployment charts.

- Create documentation to help third parties deploy and operate the Rainbow platform.

- Anticipate future challenges and be the architect of tomorrow's cloud architecture.

- Cover on-call periods within the team.

Am I the right person for the job?

- Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools.

- Solid knowledge of the GNU/Linux operating system (Debian is a plus) and networks.

- Knowledge of automation, high availability, scalability, redundancy, encryption,

backup and restore.

- Testing experience

- Knowledge in writing technical documentation.

- Curious, open-minded, eager to learn, correct and master just about everything.

- Experience in the architecture and deployment of distributed solutions would be an asset.

- Knowledge of Git, Ansible, Python, REST APIs and Debian packaging.

- Strong skills about VOIP (SIP protocol, RTP etc.)

- Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting VoIP issues.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent PBX, SBC, or other VoIP equipment and software would be an asset.
