Software Test Engineer (Junior, Mid-level and Senior Roles Available)

Job Description (Junior Software Test Engineer): 

• Develop Behaviour-driven development (BDD) testing with Backend and Frontend requirements.
• Develop and continuously improve automated tests cases as new system features and enhancements are developed.
• Manage both manual and automation testing, report bugs and create test reports via Jira. 
• Be able to work on multiple projects with clear sense of priority and meet project schedule. 

Job Description (Software Test Engineer/Senior Software Test Engineer): 

• Establish TCoE ( Testing Centre of Excellence ) for the enterprise and support multiple platform to execute test automation with Backend and Frontend requirements.
• Test development and monitor automation processes for configuration management 
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment ( CI/CD ) pipelines. 
• Be able to work on multiple projects with clear sense of priority and meet project schedule. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop test approach & strategies based on Backend and Frontend requirements.

Requirements Analysis:

• Understand the Mobile App's intended functionality and expected behaviour.

Test Planning:

• Create a testing strategy, outlining test objectives, scope, resources, and schedule.

Test Case Design:

• Develop detailed test cases based on requirements, covering various scenarios and exceptional cases.

Integration Testing: 

• Test interactions between different modules or components to ensure proper communication.
• Verify individual code units or modules for correctness and functionality.

Functional Testing: 

• Validate whether the Mobile App's meets specified requirements and performs its intended tasks.

Compatibility Testing: 

• Verify Mobile App's behaviour across different hardware configurations and environments.

Regression Testing: 

• Re-test previously validated areas after changes to ensure new code hasn't introduced issues.

Usability Testing: 

• Evaluate the user-friendliness and ease of interaction with the Mobile App.

Documentation: 

• Maintain clear and accurate records of test cases, results, and any issues found using Jira Xray
• Draft Testing document in Confluence 

Bug Tracking: 

• Log and prioritize any identified defects, and work with Developers to resolve them using Jira

Resource management:

• Be able to work on multiple projects with clear sense of priority and meet project schedule. 

Additional responsibilities for Software Test Engineer/Senior Software Test Engineer 

Stress Testing: 

• Evaluate the Mobile App's 's behaviour under extreme conditions or heavy loads.

Boundary Testing: 

• Test inputs at the edge of acceptable ranges to identify potential issues.

Performance Testing: 

• Assess Mobile App's speed, responsiveness, and resource utilization under various conditions.

Security Testing: 

• Identify vulnerabilities and potential exploits in the Mobile App.

Team Collaboration :

• Establishing team knowledge sharing methods to continuously improve team effectiveness. 

Requirements (Junior Software Test Engineer): 

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Professional Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. 
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Hands-on experience in IOT products Coding experience with automation framework and automation tools is a plus.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements (Software Test Engineer/Senior Software Test Engineer): 

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Professional Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. 
• 2+ years of working experience in a similar field for Software Test Engineer position or 5+ for years Senior Test Engineer 
• Familiar with testing techniques such as smoke testing, database / Data testing, integration testing, white and black box testing, regression testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing
• Hands-on experience in IOT products Coding experience with automation framework and automation tools is a plus.
• Proficiency with test management tools like JIRA Xray, Confluence for tracking and documentation of test cases.
• Experience working in/familiarity with an Agile environment. 
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Familiar with c# & flutter programming language is a plus.
