We are looking for a Solution Engineer with strong systems-level thinking who will also take on system analysis and product management responsibilities, serving as the core technical liaison for an AI-automated painting drone company across Singapore and overseas markets.
This role blends three traditional functions — solution engineer, system analyst, and product manager — and requires you to:
Engage with clients to capture and clarify technical requirements
Coordinate between software and hardware R&D teams
Produce technical solutions and presentation decks
Support solution consulting, presales activities, and project management
Own product functions: requirement prioritization, roadmap management, and competitive analysis
Drive projects to successful delivery and continuously optimize the product
You will be the critical bridge between customers, the sales team, R&D, and company strategy — someone who understands both the technology and the product/business logic.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Requirements Gathering & System Analysis
Communicate directly with clients to understand and clarify business requirements
Translate client needs into System Requirements Specifications (SRS)
Analyze hardware/software interface requirements and assess system architecture feasibility
Produce system flowcharts, data flow diagrams, and functional structure diagrams
2. Solution Consulting & Presales Support
Support the sales team with technical explanations and solution presentations
Create technical proposal decks, system architecture diagrams, and product demo materials
Participate in client demos and answer technical questions
Contribute to the technical sections of tender/RFP documents
3. Software–Hardware Coordination
Coordinate between the ground station software team and the drone hardware team
Define communication interfaces, data structures, and system interaction logic
Track progress of system integration testing
Help diagnose and troubleshoot system-level issues
4. Project Management & Delivery Support
Participate in project planning and progress tracking
Track requirement changes and version iterations
Help define project milestones and delivery standards
Requirement collection and prioritization: Consolidate feedback from clients, frontline sales, and internal R&D capacity into a structured Product Requirements Document (PRD), and prioritize based on business value and implementation cost
Product roadmap management: Help develop quarterly and annual roadmaps for the product, track release cadence, and report progress to the founder and R&D team
Competitive and market analysis: Regularly research competitors in the industry (e.g., other spray-painting or cleaning drone manufacturers) and provide differentiation recommendations
Data-driven product optimization: Track real-world usage data post-deployment (operational efficiency, failure rates, customer satisfaction) to inform product iteration
Cross-functional alignment: Serve as the "single source of truth" for product requirements, ensuring sales, R&D, and clients share a consistent understanding and reducing communication overhead
UI/UX improvement recommendations: Propose interaction and workflow improvements for the ground station software and product's SaaS platform from the end-user's perspective
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above (Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Information Systems, Industrial Design, or related fields)
3+ years of experience in solution engineering, system analysis, technical support, project management, or product management
Experience with software-hardware system integration preferred
Experience in product management for B2B / industrial hardware products is a strong plus
Technical Skills
Understanding of software system architecture and basic development logic
Familiarity with APIs, communication protocols, and basic data structure concepts
Knowledge of embedded systems or drone systems is a plus
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile / PMP preferred)
Familiarity with product management tools and frameworks (e.g., PRD writing, user story mapping, prioritization frameworks such as RICE/MoSCoW) preferred
Communication & Business Skills (Critical)
Able to independently produce high-quality technical presentations and product documentation
Fluent in both Chinese and English for client-facing technical communication
Capable of delivering solution presentations and supporting presales engagements
Strong documentation skills (able to independently produce SRS, PRD, and roadmap documents)
Business acumen to translate client needs into product features with clear commercial value
Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills; prior presales or customer-facing solution consulting experience is highly advantageous.

Experience working as a Solution Engineer or in a customer-facing technical consulting/presales role for industrial technology products.
