Overall objective of the position:
You will support the Regional Commercial Excellence Manager APAC in project management, data analysis, and preparation of decision making for strategic projects.
The Commercial Excellence function drives profitable growth across the region by translating strategy into execution, optimizing pricing and sales performance and enabling data-driven decision-making through standardized processes, tools and cross-functional collaboration.
Main Tasks:
- To support the definition and implementation of segment strategies
- To track the progress of regional and local strategy implementation (Project Management Office)
- To calculate and develop business cases
- To analyse sales and market data to facilitate data-driven decision making for strategic initiatives, go-to-market strategies
- To liaise with colleagues across APAC and across functions on key business topics, best practises, ensuring cohesive commercial strategies and execution
- To work with large datasets to generate business insights that can be turned into actionable results
- To develop and communicate pricing guidance, based on internal optimization potential and external market factors
- To work with Channel Management colleagues to increase the performance of sales channels, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring consistent strategy execution across all countries
Qualifications and job requirements:
- Min. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Economics, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Business Informatics
- 1-5 years of professional experience which may include internships in similar fields. Graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply
- Ideally one with past work experience in the areas of Consulting, Business Development, Strategy, Sales Management and/or Purchasing (Chemicals, Pharma, Automotive Industry, Industrial Manufacturing industries will be an added advantage)
- Proficient in MS EXCEL skills - ability to work confidently with large datasets, pivot tables & lookup functions. Ideally hands-on knowledge with Excel PowerQuery and VBA macros
- Advanced PowerPoint capabilities, able to translate complex information into clear, structured, management-ready slides and compelling storylines, supported by effective data visualizations (charts, waterfalls, tables and simple dashboards)
- Ability to break down initiatives into objectives, KPIs, and workstreams; structuring tasks, milestones, and timelines; tracking progress and follow‑ups
