Micron is also committed to sustainable development, focusing on employee health and safety, environmental quality, and community support.\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nReporting to the Director, Indirect Procurement, you will play a pivotal role and be responsible in leading procurement \u0026 sourcing efforts for Singapore. You will lead a dedicated team of procurement professionals, partnering with multiple collaborators, responsible for managing the procurement process for Indirect projects from start to finish, ensuring best in class. You will participate and actively lead these projects, including reporting to the senior leadership on its progress. Your primary deliverable is to ensure the greatest value of each project which requires but not limited to, strong sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management skills. \n\nOther Responsibilities:\n\nBuild and Execute Strategic Sourcing and Category Management Plan for Indirect Categories\n\n * Work with direct and cross-functional teams to plan strategic sourcing direction for category\n * Recommend targets for spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services and supplier management\n * Identify and implement category specific savings levers \nRecommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects and functions\n * Monitor and adjust category compliance (e.g. risk, spend, quality, supplier segmentation, management)\n * Monitor the implementation of sourcing strategies and contract compliance and participate in the resolution of any constraints or issues\n * Deliver category savings and scorecard metric targets\n * Communicate sourcing trends and results for assigned categories to the Category Director\n * Maintain supplier segmentation map for category; build partnerships with strategic suppliers\n\n\n\nLead and Manage Procurement Category Teams\n\n * Support building of the right procurement team (recruitment, training, staffing, and retention)\n * Present strategic plan for the assigned categories and report status \nBuild consensus on assigned category strategic plan and refine (if required)\n * Provide input on procurement initiatives\n * Assist Category Director in building integrated strategic plan\n * Represent Micron in industry and professional forum\n\n\n\nInterface with Customers, Procurement Business Partners, and Suppliers on Category Strategies\n\n * Ensure customer category requirements met\n * Communicate strategic sourcing goals, category management plans, initiatives and targets to customers\n * Maintain relationships with supplier senior executives \u2022Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders\n * Cooperate with company policies and comply with RBA specifications and related business\n\n\n\nCollaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions\n\n * Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with Category Director, Category Supplier Managers, and Global Supplier Managers\n * Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers\n * Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement\n * Maintain close interaction with business partners to ensure category-related needs are addressed\n * Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders\n * Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions related to the category\n\n\n\nYou Are:\n\n * Possess a Bachelors\u2019 Degree or above and at least 10 years of work experience in engineering and/or procurement specializing in Facilities CAPEX \u0026 OPEX, and leading a team\n * Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives in a highly organized and adaptable manner \n * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work \u0026 collaborate at all levels and influence stakeholders without direct authority.\n * Passionate about driving improvements and achieving operational excellence.\n\n\n\nThe ability to form collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners. \n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nPurchasing Manager 2\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
