Sr Mgr, Test Engineer

Job Summary 

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and results-driven Test Engineering Manager to lead and manage the Test Engineering function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day test engineering operations, supporting manufacturing projects and warranty services, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide strong technical leadership, enhance testing capabilities, and ensure alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage a team of Test Engineers and Technicians to ensure successful execution of test plans for server, rack, storage, and GPU products  

• Provide technical direction and leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards  

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve test plans, scripts, and methodologies 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless integration of testing activities  

• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex technical issues; provide Level 3 support when required  

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce defects  

• Monitor performance metrics and produce reports (e.g., KPIs, operational metrics)  

• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of test records and related data  

• Support operations in implementing processes aligned with industry and quality standards (ISO9001/ISO14001)  

• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities  

• Coordinate corrective actions across departments and ensure quality compliance within engineering operations  

• Align team objectives with overall business strategy and monitor performance against targets  

• Provide input on workforce planning, resource allocation, and cost management  

• Develop standardized processes and drive consistency across departments  

• Ensure adequate resources are available to meet business needs  

• May be required to support operations outside of normal working hours and travel as needed 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field  

• Minimum 7 years of experience in test engineering within server, storage, rack, or GPU environments  

• Proven experience managing test engineering teams in a manufacturing environment  

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, debugging, and root cause analysis  

• Experience with ISO9001/ISO14001 and audit processes  

• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement principles  

• Knowledge of programming and databases (Python and MySQL required; PHP is a plus)
