Asia - Mechanical\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nAs the Global Facilities Regional Engineering Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support, expertise, and lead business process alignment on construction project design, management, schedule, cost control, testing \u0026 commissioning, operational and maintenance programs for the facility mechanical systems at all manufacturing sites in your location / region. As a global team member residing in your current site/geography, you will represent all facility design standard alignment, construction project management, O\u0026M BKM alignment initiatives. You will also support the Global Facilities Central Engineering Team, Construction Team , Line Planning Team and O\u0026M Team in providing critical design standard alignment, supplier quality improvement, operational and maintenance input and support construction projects.\n\nCritical metrics include construction project management, schedule, cost control, safety index, and facilities system reliability improvement program in eliminating production events that minimize lost moves and scrap.\n\nResponsibilities and tasks:\n\nProject\n\nDesign and construction of regional green field project with alignment to global standards and collaboration with central sustainability, cost, construction and line planning team.\n\nEngineering support for site projects, Alpha to Beta technology transfer and sustainability projects\n\nReview and approve site capacity expansion and sustainability capex\n\nReview priority and make business driven decision on Facilities Reliability Improvement project capex\n\nReliabilty\n\nEngineering support for site system improvement projects (System Reliability Improvements, Quality Improvement and Equipment EOL replacements)\n\nOversee regional efforts and identify opportunities to align strategic program (eg BCP, Critical spec, Quality Defense line)\n\nEngineering support for major SIPP review\n\nRegional events lesson learnt sharing and influence of global standards development\n\nCommunication\n\nSingle point of contact for regional sites and GFC central teams\n\nProvide alignment on metrics reporting\n\nOthers\n\nExpert understanding of each sites mechanical systems operational and maintenance capabilities in order to provide critical support\n\nIn addition to your global mechanical engineering role you will also provide site/regional support for global facility initiatives at your location/region\n\nTechnically lead a global cross functional team focused on project, design, construction, operational excellence with the site mechanical systems engineers\n\nProvide support to all sites including on site presence for construction project and critical mechanical failures of\n\nActively involved in TPM implementation and alignment along with ongoing support for mechanical systems\n\nDrive improvement in the quality of our utilities through variation reduction (SPC).\n\nDrive the alignment for common methodologies including SPC, conformance, SIPP\u2019s, MOC and 8D problem solving throughout the network for mechanical systems\n\nIdentify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for mechanical systems throughout the network\n\nAssess and insure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs, procedures and checklists across the network\n\nRegular communication with the site engineering and O\u0026M teams on status and performance\n\nAnalyze and benchmark equipment performance. \n\nIdentify and develop training and certification programs that support global and site efforts\n\nDevelop appropriate metrics to drive improvement (On time PM\u2019s, MTTF, MTTR etc.)\n\nSend out regular updates with key items of focus and initiatives. \n\nYou will review FIPA/METS events and provide recommendations to drive the reduction of critical mechanical impact events. \n\nCollaborate with the construction / engineering team to insure alignment on projects\n\nSupport the network effort to implement, monitor and drive continuous improvement for success of Micron\u2019s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy\n\nBenchmark system performance and drive Best-In-Class approach (BICs) across network\n\nIn depth review of site sustainability projects and sustainability data monitoring to support site\u2019s and company\u2019s sustainability targets.\n\nProvide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning \u0026 execution\n\nSupport sustainability projects achievement data acquisition and validation in central tracking depository.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience\n * Excellent analytical and good decision making skills\n * Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization\n * Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally\n * Proven ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities\n * Proven ability to multi-task and lead team to meet challenging deadlines and goals\n * Proven ability to continuously improve systems and processes\n * Ability to foster strong relationships from cross-functional and multi-cultural groups\n\n\n\nEducation Required \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or any related field of study\n\n\n\nExperience Required \n\n * 8+ years of Facility Engineering experience and preferred with Semiconductor Industry experience.\n\n\n\nExperience Desired\n\n * Lead or actively
