ID:\n\nJR95645 Staff Engineer, Process Development \u2013 Cell Film (Evergreen)\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProcess Development \u0026 Optimization\n\n * Develop, optimize, and characterize thin film processes (ALD/CVD) to meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.\n * Execute well\u2011designed experiments, analyze data, and translate results into process improvements.\n * Support scaling of cell film processes across nodes and platforms.\n\n\n\nModule Ownership (Growing Scope)\n\n * Own defined portions of a process module or sub\u2011module under guidance from senior engineers.\n * Track process margins, key sensitivities, and integration risks.\n * Drive issue resolution for process and tool\u2011related problems within assigned scope.\n\n\n\nProcess Integration \u0026 Correlation\n\n * Work closely with integration and device teams to ensure process compatibility and electrical performance.\n * Correlate material, structural, and electrical data to guide process optimization.\n * Support failure analysis and root\u2011cause investigations for yield and reliability issues.\n\n\n\nTool \u0026 Hardware Engagement\n\n * Develop strong hands\u2011on knowledge of cell film equipment and hardware behavior.\n * Partner with equipment engineers and suppliers to improve process stability and capability.\n * Support tool qualifications, upgrades, and platform transfers.\n\n\n\nCollaboration \u0026 Communication\n\n * Communicate results clearly through technical reports, reviews, and data summaries.\n * Participate actively in cross\u2011functional forums and project teams.\n * Escalate risks and gaps with clear data\u2011driven recommendations.\n\n\n\nTechnical Growth \u0026 Leadership\n\n * Continuously build depth in thin film materials, chemistry, and process physics.\n * Learn to independently frame problems and propose technically sound solutions.\n * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n * PhD or equivalent experience in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n * 3+ years of experience in thin film R\u0026D for microelectronic devices, with a proven track record of leading complex technology development.\n * Demonstrated ability to influence technology direction, mentor teams, and deliver innovative solutions for advanced memory nodes.\n * Strong fundamentals in thin film deposition (ALD/CVD) and materials characterization.\n * Working knowledge of plasma processes, vacuum systems, and chemical reactions.\n * Ability to link process conditions to material properties and device behavior.\n * Familiarity with electrical test methods and fab metrology tools.\n * Understanding of NAND cell structures and basic device physics.\n\n\n\n * \n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 4\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
