Job Description - Staff/Principal Capital Supplier Manager

Global Category Strategy \u0026 Market Leadership\n\n\\- Own and define global category strategies for capital equipment (e.g., Etch, Wet Process, CMP, Deposition, Implant, Fab Support, Photo, Metrology). \n\\- Lead market intelligence, including: Supplier landscape \u0026 capability mapping, Technology roadmaps \u0026 inflection points, Pricing models and long\u2011term cost curves. \n\\- Shape dual\u2011source / alternate\u2011source strategies and supply base optimization to mitigate concentration and continuity risks. \n\n\n2\\. Executive\u2011Level Supplier Relationship Management\n\n\\- Act as Micron\u2019s primary commercial lead for strategic capital suppliers, executive reviews, and escalation governance with supplier executives. \n\\- Drive alignment on Capacity commitments, Technology enablement and Long\u2011term partnership frameworks. \n\n\n3\\. Complex Commercial Negotiation \u0026 Contracting\n\n\\- Lead high\u2011stakes, multi\u2011year global negotiations, including: Tool pricing \u0026 framework agreements, Volume leverage \u0026 node\u2011based cost downs, Service, spares, and lifecycle cost structures.\n\n\\- Apply should\u2011cost, total cost of ownership (TCO), and global benchmarking models to negotiations. \n\\- Own strategy, governance, and renegotiations as market or capacity conditions shift. \n \n4\\. Cost, Value \u0026 Business Impact Ownership\n\n\\- Deliver repeatable cost and productivity impact across: Capex and Tool productivity and uptime levers.\n\n\\- Drive multi\u2011year savings roadmaps. \n \n5\\. Cross\u2011Functional Business Partnering\n\n\\- Partner tightly with TD, OCT, Fab Engineering and Operations, Planning and \nFinance.\n\n\\- Influence sourcing strategies, and technology gate readiness from a commercial and risk perspective. \n\\- Serve as Procurement subject matter expert and thought leader, shaping decisions beyond traditional buying. \n \n6\\. Leadership as Individual Contributor\n\n\\- Operate as a role model Principal IC, setting standards for Strategic thinking \nExecutive communication and Data\u2011driven decision making. \n\\- Mentor Staff and Senior CSMs on Negotiation strategy, Market intelligence and Supplier engagement maturity.\n\n\\- Lead complex global initiatives without direct people management.\n\nQualifications \u0026 Experience\n\n\\- Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business\n\n\\- 5+ years in Capital Procurement, Engineering, or Category Management (semiconductor preferred). \n\\- Deep domain expertise in capital equipment economics and supplier behavior. \n\\- Demonstrated success in global negotiations and category leadership. \n\\- Strong executive presence; comfortable engaging SVP/CEO\u2011level supplier leadership. \n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nTechnical Procurement BP E4 - Technical Procurement BP E5\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
