Job Description - Strategic Account Manager

About the Team

Agoda is a leading travel booking platform with accommodation at its core. The Strategic Accounts Management (SAM) team specializes in account management, serving as consultants and offering strategic advice to accommodation partners on how best to excel on Agoda's commercial platform. With a presence in over 50 locations worldwide, our team leverages industry-leading technology and diverse perspectives to deliver innovative solutions that benefit Agoda, our partners, and our customers.

About the Role

As a Strategic Account Manager based in Singapore, you will be the primary point of contact between Agoda and our key accommodation partners in the Singapore market. You will be responsible for nurturing relationships with key supply partners, driving mutual growth, and identifying new sources of supply and product offerings within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with key supply partners to enable Agoda's growth in the region
  • Maintain regular and meaningful engagement with Agoda's key supply partners
  • Analyze large datasets to propose tailored solutions to supply partners
  • Leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to identify new business opportunities
  • Train and inform clients on new and existing technologies, tools, and models
  • Prepare materials to support business growth during partner meetings
  • Respond to partner requests in a timely and effective manner
  • Gain stakeholder buy-in to execute strategies and launch promotional campaigns
  • Leverage product offerings to match market demands and convert passive customers into active ones
  • Deliver on country KPIs, growth targets, and strategic initiatives
  • Support the Area Manager in preparing country reporting for senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in business development and/or account management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in internet or e-commerce industry is preferred
  • Proven track record in acquiring, building, and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Team player with a professional, results-driven work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in English is required, as the role involves managing regional partners and preparing reports for international stakeholders across Agoda's global operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree
  • Experience in the travel industry
