Job Description The Strategy Analyst will drive data led decision making across the APAC business. The role partners with underwriting, claims, operations and finance to generate insights, support strategic planning, and accelerate operating model improvements. It combines analytics, structured problem solving and stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable outcomes aligned to APAC and Group priorities.
Responsibilities Strategy & Planning - Support annual and quarterly planning cycles through market, portfolio and competitor analysis,
scenario modelling and recommendations. - Maintain up-to-date dashboards tracking strategic KPIs and initiative benefits.
Analytics & Insight - Produce timely analysis across underwriting, claims, delegated authority and distribution to
identify performance drivers and opportunities. - Partner with Data teams to improve use of internal analytics tools, data quality and
automation. - Convert analysis into actionable guidance for underwriting and distribution leaders (e.g.,
pricing levers, appetite signals, remediation plans).
Operating model & transformation - Contribute to APAC Target Operating Model (TOM) initiatives, including pain point assessment, case for change, and development and benefits tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional transformation workstreams, aligning stakeholders on scope, timelines and success metrics.
- Prepare clear, business friendly communications on TOM changes, processes and governance.
- Conduct readiness assessments for new processes and systems, identifying and resolving data, workflow or control gaps.
- Provide market and peer research to benchmark best practices in operating models, governance, delegated authority and distribution
Stakeholder engagement & delivery - Lead structured problem-solving sprints: define the problem, gather data, test hypotheses and support decision making.
- Produce executive quality briefings and board ready materials with clear narratives and recommendations.

Qualifications Skills and experience: - 2-5+ years in strategy/analytics/consulting/FP&A, ideally within (re)insurance or financial services.
- Strong quantitative toolkit (advanced Excel; Power BI/Tableau; SQL or Python a plus) and comfort with data platforms (e.g., Databricks/warehouse tools) and dashboarding.
- Excellent storytelling skills-able to translate complex analysis into clear options for senior stakeholders.
- Experience running cross-functional initiatives (problem framing, hypothesis testing, stakeholder alignment, execution).
- Knowledge or experience of the Lloyd's market and international markets
- Knowledge of delegated authority operating models is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation and stakeholder engagement.
Education & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Actuarial, Engineering, Data Science); postgraduate qualifications welcome.
