Virtu is looking for passionate and energetic software engineers to join our development team.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Develop, design and document of algorithmic and prop trading systems, under the guidance of project management
• Conduct testing and support QA
• Provide level 2 support for production systems

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• Java or C++ programming experience (minimum 5 years)
• QA and L2 support experience (minimum 5 years)
• Multithreading Experience
• Experience with version control systems
• Keen interest in equity markets
• Self-motivated with ability to take ownership of problems/solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think laterally
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English

THE PROCESS

After passing an application screening, candidates will be sent an online programming test via email from a service called HackerRank as a first step of the process. This is to gain an understanding of the candidates coding ability.
