Structural Design Manager - Dynamic Team

Job Description

1. Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team, coordinate with client's, consultants and sub-contractors on structural matters to ensure that the civil and structural engineering works carried out by the contractors meet the desired quality/workmanship, specifications, code requirements and the projects are completed on time and within budget
2. Manage and lead C&S project teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes.
3. Manage the domestic C&S consultants to meet project program, design deliverables, and ST submission
4. Manage, evaluate and advise on appropriate civil and structural engineering solutions proposed by consultants to meet the project objectives, requirements, specifications and code requirements.
5. Review and value-add to the designs/specifications/drawings submitted by consultants and contractors without compromise to structural integrity, quality, compliance.
6. Ensure the Structural designs comply with relevant codes compliances and regulations.
7. Coordinate with architectural team and M&E team to ensure the final design is in-line with architect’s design intents and client’s requirements.
8. Liaise with BIM Manager on the BIM presentations, clash reports, ICE meeting schedules and requirements.
9. Assist and supervise the preparation of structural coordination and rebar shop drawings for the project to be used on site for construction.
10. Oversee structural works, conduct inspections on site, monitor shop drawing progress and provide support to construction team.
11. Resolve site issues related to design or changes required by Construction team, to ensure no delay affecting main program.
12. Issuance of RFI & Site-Design Amendments
13. Ensure timely completion and good quality of works
14. Any other ad-hoc duties and tasks as may be assigned

Job Requirements

1. Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as structural manager role. Experience in PPVC D&B projects is a plus
2. Degree holder in Civil Engineering or equivalent
3. Able to interpret structural design from consultant
4. Knowledge in rebar detailing as per structural code requirements
5. Skill in Autocad & Revit is a plus
