Structural Engineer / Site Engineer (Construction)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer with site supervision experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role also involves site management, quality control, and coordinating construction activities on-site.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structural systems using CAD software and prepare detailed drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare and review cutting lists and fabrication details using CAD tools.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings and review project documentation.
• Assist project teams in identifying quality requirements and developing Project Quality Plans.
• Comply with local construction codes, approved Quality documents, and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and routine checks to ensure work aligns with client, authority, and project requirements.
• Manage and register all incoming materials and items for the project.
• Oversee and manage day-to-day lifting operations, liaising closely with subcontractors and operation teams on all ongoing lifting activities.
• Review and approve lifting plans, safety procedures, and execute project activities following the project plan.
• Prepare and submit Request for Inspection (RFI) to consultants prior to official QA/QC inspections and testing.
• Monitor vendor performance, address non-conformance issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct inspection reports for subcontractors’ work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support project teams in resolving technical issues and working towards project completion from start to finish.
• Ensure all works adhere to safety protocols and are completed within tight deadlines.
• Perform on-site supervision, including managing lifting operations and performing routine site checks.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Singapore projects, with proven experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Solid experience in structural work and project management from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and experience in preparing fabrication and cutting lists.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, good attitude, and a collaborative mindset.
• Must be willing to station at the project site and actively participate in on-site supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and resolve technical issues effectively.
