Student Support Officer – Primary School (Boon Lay)

Contract Period:
1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027

Deployment Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8.30 am to 2.30 pm
• Thursday: 8.00 am to 4.30 pm
• Lunch break: 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm
• Total working hours: 30 hours per week
• No deployment on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays

Job Description

The Student Management Officer will support the school in managing, mentoring and engaging students, particularly students requiring additional behavioral and disciplinary support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one mentoring and befriending support to higher-needs students.
• Support students who have been assigned disciplinary consequences by the school.
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage responsible behavior.
• Plan and conduct motivational talks, engagement sessions and character-development activities.
• Assist with basic fact-finding and information gathering for student-related incidents.
• Support the school’s investigation and documentation of disciplinary matters.
• Accompany school key personnel on neighborhood patrols after school hours when required.
• Assist the Discipline Master in engaging parents and guardians.
• Support discussions relating to student discipline, behavior management and student development.
• Perform other student-management duties assigned by the school.

Requirement:

Relevant experience in any of the following areas will be advantageous:

• Student management or school discipline
• Youth work, social services or family services
• Student care or after-school programmes
• Counselling, mentoring or befriending
• Planning and conducting motivational, educational, sports or physical activities for children and youth
