Job Description - Superintendent, Electrical & Instrumentation - Hiring Urgently

We are looking for an adaptable Superintendent, Electrical & Instrumentation to join our productive team at Sumitomo Chemical Asia Pte Ltd in Western Islands, West Region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible through planning, managing and executing assigned maintenance & engineering work activities in a safe, effective and efficient manner in the plant. You will work in a team-oriented environment that accelerates operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and plan for daily/ad-hoc/shut-down maintenance activities to be executed safely, efficiently within schedule and allocated budget.

• Supervise and mentor in-house contractors to execute their maintenance work activities efficiently and safely.

• Work closely with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team to ensure all work activities comply with statutory & corporate requirements.

• Troubleshoot plant equipment problem and propose countermeasures to execute the problem satisfactorily and permanently.

• Collect and analyse plant equipment data and make recommendations and/or countermeasures.

• Maintain and update maintenance work execution documents/reports promptly and assist to revise/draft maintenance work procedures and instructions.

• Provide efficient and prompt technical support to assigned plant and stakeholders.

• Perform budgeting and cost comparison for non-OEM services, maintenance materials and parts.

• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for maintenance work activities and coordination of continuous improvement project.

Requirements:

• Candidate should possess at least diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/ Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline preferably with at least 3 years of chemical / pharmaceutical industries.

• Sound technical knowledge of functionality of common chemical or polymer processing plant electrical equipment, process instrument & process control system (e.g. AC motors, Control Valves, Pressure / Flow / Level Sensors & Transmitters, PLC, DCS etc).

• Good skills in electric equipment & instrument troubleshooting as well as understanding of process plant maintenance work execution process.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, self-initiative, good problem solving skills, meticulous and able to cope with executing multiple tasks within planned schedule.

• Available to start work immediately or short notice period will be added advantage.
