The Hair Salon Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the salon, supervising hairstylists and support staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining service quality, and supporting business growth through effective team management and operational excellence.
Supervise the daily operations of the hair salon to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Lead, train, and motivate hairstylists, assistants, and reception staff to achieve high service standards.
Assign work schedules and monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.
Ensure all hairdressing services are performed according to company standards and customer expectations.
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
Monitor salon cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Maintain inventory of hair care products, salon supplies, and equipment, and coordinate stock replenishment.
Promote salon services, retail products, and membership programmes to achieve sales targets.
Monitor daily sales, prepare operational reports, and assist management in improving business performance.
Train new employees on salon procedures, customer service standards, and operational policies.
Ensure proper maintenance of salon equipment and arrange servicing when required.
Coordinate appointments and optimize staff allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase customer engagement.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hairdressing, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a hair salon, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
Strong knowledge of salon operations, hair care products, and customer service practices.
Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude.
Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays.
