Supervise daily ship repair activities involving hot works (welding, gas cutting, grinding, gouging) and electrical works onboard vessels and within the shipyard.
Plan, organize, and allocate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials to meet project schedules.
Monitor work progress and ensure jobs are completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure all personnel understand work scope, hazards, and safety requirements before commencing work.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, shipyard safety rules, and permit-to-work (PTW) requirements.
Verify that all hot work permits, gas-free certificates, lockout/tagout (LOTO), isolation procedures, and confined space requirements are properly implemented.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, classification societies, subcontractors, and vessel representatives to resolve technical and operational issues.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
Monitor productivity, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of daily work progress, manpower deployment, materials usage, inspections, and completion reports.
