Job Description - Supplier Account Director

Key Responsibilities\n\n * Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.\n\n * Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.\n\n * Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.\n\n * Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.\n\n * Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.\n\n * Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.\n\n * Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.\n\n * Drives formal supplier performance reviews.\n\n\n\n\n \nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Recognized as \u201cguru\u201d or external expert in a function\n\n * Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field.\n\n\n\n\n \nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business\n\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership.\n\n\n\n\n \nProblem Solving\n\n * Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions.\n\n\n\n\n \nImpact\n\n * Impacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products.\n\n\n\n\n \nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.\n\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n10 - 15 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\nDay (Singapore)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nNo\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nNone\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
